CHIROPRACTORS

Headshot Tannis Boisvert

Dr. tannis boisvert, bsc, dC (SHE/HER)

Dr. Tannis Boisvert is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Prior to completing her studies at CMCC, Tannis achieved her Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Nutrition and Dietetics. Tannis has a strong athletic history, competing internationally as a downhill ski racer, which ultimately sparked her interest in the human body and how we can optimize its functioning through movement and proper nutrition.

As an evidence-based Doctor of Chiropractic, Tannis is passionate about knowledge transfer and advocating for her patients’ health care. She approaches every patient with a unique lens and the goal of solving the bespoke puzzle that is an individual’s health, while helping her patients understand why they’re experiencing pain and how best to prevent it in the future. Tannis has a special interest in pregnancy care and is on a mission to dispel beliefs that pregnant women have to endure the aches and pains that often accompany carrying a baby. Through knowledge transfer and proactive management, Tannis supports parents during their pregnancy and into the postpartum period. As a bonus - she loves seeing your little ones too!

In addition to the hands-on component of her practice, Tannis incorporates patient education and at-home rehabilitation plans to make sure her patients feel good 24/7. Her appointments typically include discussing lifestyle changes, posture and nutrition, exercises for the prevention of pain, and manual therapy (whether that be adjustments, soft tissue therapy, or acupuncture). Patients can expect to finish a treatment with Tannis feeling centred, relaxed, and empowered to take charge of their health. Everyone's lives and bodies are continually changing – whether that be pregnancy, a new job, or moving – and Tannis is committed to adapting care plans and treatments to meet her patients’ diverse and ever-changing needs.

When out of the office, you can find Tannis enjoying the great outdoors with her two miniature dachshunds or spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends!

ACUPUNCTURIST

Headshot Alysha Saks

alysha saks, r.ac (she/her)

Alysha Saks is a Registered Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist (R.Ac) who graduated from The Academy of Integrative Medicine. Alysha has a Bachelor’s degree in East Asian religion, and her passion lies within the realm of East Asian philosophy, which is what attracted her to Chinese medicine. She believes that Taoist and Buddhist concepts, such as mind-body connection and conscious awareness, in conjunction with acupuncture and bodywork are what the western world needs more of.

Alysha takes a holistic approach, assessing the body as a whole, looking into the cause of symptoms, rather than solely treating the visible symptoms. Pain management and injuries (both acute and chronic), hormonal imbalance and women’s health,  immunity, digestive complaints, emotional and mental imbalance, and nervous system regulation are a few of her focuses.

During a Bright acupuncture appointment with Alysha, she will hold space, guide, and support the restoration of balance and harmony to your internal landscape. Most importantly, she will help you understand your own body, and teach you how to listen to the subtle yet important messages that it gives you.
