Well Held is an intimate gathering created to support pre- and postnatal bodies through movement, education, and real care.
If you’re navigating pregnancy, postpartum, trying to conceive, a curious movement educator wanting to learn more or simply needing a better understanding of how to move and support your body during this season, this space is a reminder that you don’t have to figure it out alone.
What to expect:
⧇ A guided pre and post-natal mat pilates class led by our NDP educator Carman Chan, focused on safe foundational movement, practical modifications, and building confidence in group classes at every stage.
⧇ A thoughtful educational panel with the Bright Health team, covering pre and post-natal movement, pelvic floor health, core recovery, myth-busting, and how to navigate care with clarity.
When: Sunday, March 1 from 1 pm to 3 pm

Meet the Instructors
ABOUT carman Chan, NICE Day Pilates instructor
Born and raised in Toronto, Carman is a second-generation Chinese-Canadian movement facilitator, educator, and mentor with over 25 years of embodied experience. She holds a BFA in Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University and began her training in ballet and traditional Chinese folk dance at a young age. After a professional dance career, she expanded into Pilates, yoga, barre, and pre/postnatal movement, completing extensive certifications across Toronto.
Grounded in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practice, Carman offers personalized movement care from her Parkdale home studio and serves as a teacher, mentor and lead facilitator for comprehensive mat and reformer Pilates trainings at Nice Day Pilates.
About Dr. Karishma Kapoor, DC
Dr. Karishma Kapoor is a licensed chiropractor and graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alberta, where she worked as a Research Associate in Pulmonary Medicine and published award-winning research on asthma and COPD.
With a special interest in pre- and postnatal care, Karishma provides evidence-based, movement-focused treatment to support individuals through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and beyond. Drawing on her background in sport and functional movement, she delivers personalized care that reduces pain, restores function, and helps patients feel strong, supported, and confident in their bodies.
About Grecia Alaniz, PT PhD (C)
Grecia is a pelvic health physiotherapist with over seven years of clinical experience, specializing in supporting individuals through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University and is currently completing her PhD at Western University, where her research explores fetal surveillance technologies in pregnancy and childbirth.
With advanced training in pelvic health, Grecia treats a wide range of urogenital and ano-rectal conditions, including complex and persistent pelvic pain. As someone living with endometriosis, she brings a compassionate, whole-person approach to care and is a dedicated advocate for education, awareness, and destigmatizing pelvic health.
About Molly drazin, PT, DPT
Molly is a registered physiotherapist who earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Drexel University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and Spanish from the University of Vermont and completed a 200-hour therapeutic yoga teacher training, bringing an integrative, embodied lens to her clinical work.
With a special interest in pelvic floor rehabilitation, Molly treats bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, prolapse, and pre- and postnatal concerns. Her approach blends evidence-based physiotherapy with therapeutic yoga principles to provide personalized, whole-person care that helps clients reconnect with their bodies and move with greater ease.
